Crary Art Gallery Announces Open Call for Artists

Inviting submissions for the upcoming 2026-2027 exhibition season. The Crary Art Gallery is pleased to announce an open Call for Artists for its upcoming 2026-2027 exhibition season. Emerging and established artists working in all visual media are invited to submit proposals for solo or group exhibitions at one of northwestern Pennsylvania’s premier nonprofit art institutions.

Eligibility: Open to artists 18 years or older, working in any visual art medium—including, but not limited to, painting, sculpture, photography, printmaking, mixed media, fiber arts, digital/new media, and installation.

Required Materials:

  • Artist statement (max 500 words)

  • CV or résumé

  • 10–15 high-quality images of current work (or video links for time-based media)

  • Exhibition proposal (300–500 words)

Deadline: February 15th, 2026

Submission Method: Please submit all materials via email – crarygallery@gmail.com or submit via website – http://www.craryartgallery.org

Selection Process: Applications will be reviewed by the Crary Art Gallery Exhibitions Committee. Selected artists will be notified by March 15th, 2026. Final decisions will consider artistic merit, clarity of vision, feasibility of installation, and alignment with the gallery’s mission.

Chosen artists will receive:

  • A scheduled exhibition slot in the 2026-2027 season

  • Professional installation support

  • Marketing and promotional coverage through the Crary Art Gallery’s channels

  • An opening reception hosted by the Gallery

About the Crary Art Gallery 501c3 nonprofit organization

The Crary Art Gallery is a nonprofit art museum located in Warren, Pennsylvania, dedicated to enriching the region through art exhibitions, educational programming, and cultural experiences. The gallery features works from its founders’ collection as well as rotating contemporary exhibitions by regional, national, and international artists.

The Johnsonburg Community Trust (JCT) is pleased to welcome artists, artisans, makers, heritage vendors, and food trucks, trailers, or tents to our two-day Brick Block Arts & Heritage Festival, taking place Friday, July 10 (4:00–11:00 PM) and Saturday, July 11 (10:00 AM–5:00 PM) in the heart of historic downtown Johnsonburg.

The Johnsonburg Community Trust is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to revitalizing downtown Johnsonburg by fostering a connected and sustainable community. Proceeds from this event directly support the restoration and adaptive reuse of the historic 1890s Armstrong Brick Block, a cornerstone of Johnsonburg’s Commercial Historic District.
